We are seeking a Debris Removal & Site Restoration Specialist to spearhead the physical recovery efforts during our most critical disaster response phases. This is a highly operational, boots-on-the-ground role for an individual who isn’t afraid of the "muck and gut" reality of post-disaster clean-up. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant clearance of hazardous materials, structural wreckage, and operational waste. If you possess a strong commitment to worksite safety, the physical endurance to manage high-intensity site remediation, and the ability to coordinate complex logistics under difficult conditions, this is an opportunity to directly restore our operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
Site Remediation: Lead the manual and mechanical removal of hazardous debris, structural remnants, and water-damaged materials, ensuring the site is stabilized for recovery teams.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety protocols (OSHA/local regulations) in unstable environments, including the handling of biohazards, chemicals, and unstable structural elements.

Logistics Coordination: Manage the staging, sorting, and disposal of waste streams, coordinating with external contractors for heavy machinery transport and hazardous waste removal.

Rapid Triage: Quickly assess site conditions following a disruption, prioritizing the clearance of essential access paths and protecting critical infrastructure from further damage.

Inventory & Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of removed items, site conditions before and after clearance, and regulatory paperwork required for insurance and compliance auditing.

Resource Management: Oversee on-site equipment (e.g., generators, pumps, heavy tools), ensuring all tools are operational and available for emergency response.

Team Coordination: Act as the on-site point of contact for external cleanup crews and facility maintenance, ensuring alignment on site safety and restoration goals.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in hazardous materials handling (HAZWOPER), industrial safety, or heavy equipment operation are highly preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in site remediation, disaster recovery logistics, industrial cleaning, or heavy construction.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in operating site-clearing machinery and safety equipment.

Practical knowledge of waste disposal regulations and environmental safety standards.

Ability to read site maps, floor plans, and infrastructure schematics to avoid damaging remaining assets during cleanup.

Personal Attributes:

Grit & Endurance: Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods in austere or damaged environments.

Situational Awareness: Keen ability to identify structural, electrical, or environmental hazards in real-time.
